Third Edition of the film festival “FARE CINEMA” (15th-21st of June 2020) and Italian Cinema World Day (20th June 2020)

The Embassy of Italy in Dhaka is glad to announce that the 3rd Edition of the Film Festival “ Fare Cinema” will be held from 15th till 21st of June 2020. Being impossible to organize events in person, in the current circumstances, the Film Festival Fare Cinema will be available on line on RaiPlay platform https://www.raiplay.it in streaming from 15th till 21st of June (without the limitation of the so called “geoblocking” and without the possibility of download) with subtitles in English, French and Spanish.

The offer of the contents of the Film Festival Fare Cinema on RaiPlay platform will be enriched with some Italian movies and documentaries recently produced (“Bar Giuseppe” by Giulio Base; “Arrivederci Saigon” by Wilma Labate; “Fellini Fine Mai” by Eugenio Cappuccio; “Baikonour, Terra” by Andrea Sorini) and with some short films by Italian first-time directors (“Le Metamorfosi” by Giuseppe Carrieri; “Giu’ dal vivo” by Manuel Nicoletti; “Creatura dove vai” by Gaia Formenti and Marco Piccarreda).

For other contents of the Film Festival Fare Cinema please see the attached list with the related link WeTransfer. Unless differently indicated, the link allows to download the content in “clean” version (without subtitles) and the files of subtitles in English, French and Spanish in format .srt. The indicated links have no expire date, with the exception of the videotour of the exhibition “Fellini. Il Centenario” which allows the download till next 9th of June.

Among other contents of the Film Festival Fare Cinema :

-three episodes of the TV series “OffStage” (dedicated to the job of the actor, made with the Experimental Center of Cinematography of Rome) and three episodes of the TV series “ A scuola di cinema con RaiMovie” (dedicated to the job of the screenwriter , made with the Associazione 100Autori), available thanks to Rai Movie; 18 episodes of the TV series “Fellini in frames” , a journey through the cinema of Maestro Fellini realized with archive materials, available thanks to Istituto Luce –Cinecitta’.

Fare Cinema is the film festival dedicated to the promotion of the Italian cinema and film industry. It is organized by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of Italy in collaboration with the Ministry of Cultural Heritage and Activities of Italy (MiBACT), National Association of Cinematographic, audiovisual and multimedia (ANICA), Italian Foreign Trade Institute (ICE) and Istituto Luce Cinecitta’. Launched in 2018, it foresees the organization all over the world of events dedicated to the Italian movie by the Italian consular and diplomatic network and by all Italian Cultural Institutes, with the double objective to value the Italian cinema and the Italian professions in this sector.

On the auspicious occasion of the anniversary of 100 years from Federico Fellini’s birth (#Fellini100), the 2020 edition of Fare Cinema pays a tribute to Maestro Fellini. A space is also dedicated to the 100 years from the birth of the great Italian actor Alberto Sordi. The 2020 Edition will also mark the Italian Cinema World Day, celebrated on 20th of June, with five short films of the category “ Miglior Cortometraggio” of 2020 “David di Donatello Prizes”.
