Interior Minister Matteo Piantedosi met today at the Interior Ministry with Bangladesh’s Interior Minister Jahangir Alam Chowdhury.
“Following last May’s mission to Dhaka and the signing of the Memorandum on Migration and Mobility,” Piantedosi said , “our cooperation has intensified and we are working together to develop increasingly effective strategies to manage migration in a coordinated manner, including the repatriation of irregular migrants, to combat human traffickers, and to strengthen police cooperation aimed at exchanging information to fight criminal networks.”
“Today’s visit allows us to continue our fruitful dialogue to tackle with determination the migration and security challenges we share,” concluded the Minister of the Interior.
