Italian jazz violinist Luca Ciarla for the first time in Bangladesh on June 18, accompanied by Bangladeshi musicians on the opening leg of his Asian tour at Butternote Jazz Club in Dhaka.
Luca Ciarla blends jazz and folk music in an innovative style with his “solOrkestra” project, using sound looping technologies to create layered arrangements of classic and original pieces.
The concert, presented by the Bengal Academy of contemporary Music in collaboration with the Italian Embassy and Volipiano Music, gathered an audience of local music lovers and members the Italian community.
During his stay in the Banlgadeshi Capital, Maestro Ciarla gave a masterclass to local musicians and familiarized himself with the instruments of the musical tradition of the Bay of Bengal.
